About Me.
I study comparative politics, with a trans-regional emphasis on Islam and politics. I am especially interested in Islamist political parties, and my dissertation considers the conditions that incentivize Islamists to move away from violent mobilization and compete in electoral politics.
I have taught upper-division courses on the politics of the Middle East and democratization, and introductory courses in comparative politics and American politics. EDUCATION
